Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Masjid One mobile application (the “App”) and the related website (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you do not have permission to access the Service.
The Service
Masjid One is designed to provide users with tools and information related to Islamic practices and mosque community engagement, including:
- Prayer Times and Salah Alerts
- Qibla Finder
- Mosque Finder
- Community features such as Events and Announcements
- Religious audio features, including Adhan
- Financial transaction features such as Donations and Memberships
Use License and Restrictions
Grant of License
Masjid One grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, strictly in accordance with these Terms.
Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion or feature of the Service.
- Use the App to send spam, chain letters, or any other unsolicited commercial communication.
- Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
Accuracy of Information
While Masjid One strives for accuracy (e.g., in Prayer Times, Qibla direction, and mosque locations), you acknowledge that computational or technical errors may occur. The Service is intended as an aid and should not replace the confirmed, local, and physically observed methods for determining prayer times and direction.
User Account and Data
Account Responsibility
If the Service requires you to create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and restricting access to your device. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
Financial Transactions (Donations and Memberships)
Third-Party Processors
All financial transactions, including Donations and Memberships, are handled by a third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). Masjid One does not store your credit card details. You acknowledge and agree that Masjid One is not liable for any issues arising from the security or performance of the payment processor.
Designated Recipient
Donations are generally designated for the specific mosque or organization you choose. Masjid One acts only as a technology provider to facilitate the transfer of funds.
Refunds
Masjid One does not offer refunds for Donations. Refunds for Memberships (if applicable) are governed by the specific terms of the mosque or organization offering that membership and not by Masjid One. All refund requests should be directed to the recipient organization.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. Masjid One makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the operation or availability of the Service, or the accuracy of the data (including prayer times and Qibla direction).
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Masjid One, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice (e.g., via the App or email) of any material changes. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
